Purpose

The UAE foreign exchange market is a core hub-type forex market in the Middle East that has developed over the past two decades. Relying on the policy advantages of Dubai's free trade port, a relaxed financial regulatory environment, and its geographical location connecting Europe, Asia, and Africa, it has attracted numerous global forex brokers to establish operations. To help investors and practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operating conditions of forex dealers in the region, the survey team conducted an on-site visit to Dubai, UAE.

Process

This time, the on-site inspection team went to the United Arab Emirates as planned to visit forex dealer M Broker. According to public information, its office address is Unit 101-105 1st floor Opal Tower Bussines Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates P.O. Box 393439.

A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with the mission of acting as a strict gatekeeper for investors, proceeded to Dubai, UAE according to a well-planned schedule. They carried out a field verification of the broker M Broker, which was claimed to be located at Unit 101-105 1st floor Opal Tower.

Smoothly arriving at the location of Opal Tower, which is situated in the core business cluster of Dubai's Business Bay, surrounded by numerous high-rise office buildings and equipped with high-end commercial podiums and business service facilities, the overall environment is clean and luxurious with a very rich business atmosphere.

After circling the outside of the building, no company signage or related promotional information bearing M Broker was found throughout the entire process; only a complete panoramic view of the building's exterior was captured.

Then entering the first-floor lobby of the building, after indicating the purpose of the visit to the on-site staff and completing the visitor registration procedure, permission to enter the lobby area was successfully obtained. A complete tenant directory was displayed prominently in the lobby. After checking the list of all tenants on the directory one by one, no entry named M Broker was found.

When attempting to enter the target office area on the 1st floor, it was found that this floor is a shared office space with very strict overall security management. Visitors without a prior appointment could not obtain access to the upper floors, so we could not reach the target floor to confirm the specific location, let alone enter the broker's internal office area, and there was no chance to photograph the corresponding company's front desk or its front-desk LOGO.

Restricted by the strict security regulations, we were never able to approach the target office area, nor to observe the so-called internal environment of M Broker. The shared office area is completely closed to visitors without an appointment, and the overall situation is entirely inconsistent with the independent, self-operated office positioning previously claimed by the broker.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it is confirmed that the broker M Broker does not exist at the business address publicly indicated above.

Conclusion

The on-site survey personnel visited the foreign exchange broker M Broker in the United Arab Emirates as planned. At the publicly displayed business address, the broker's company name and other information could not be found, indicating that the broker does not have a genuine independent place of business. Investors should make their decision after comprehensive consideration.
