AvaTrade, a Dublin-based regulated forex and CFD broker, has launched AvaTradeGO, a proprietary in-house mobile platform for Android and iOS, built by Devexperts as a custom front-end to MetaTrader 4. It also expanded its offering with AvaSocial, a copy-trading solution announced on 17 November 2020.
A Custom Front-end
AvaTrade, founded in 2006, is a regulated multinational online trading broker offering forex and CFDs from Dublin. It is regulated in the EU, Japan, Australia, South Africa, the Middle East and the British Virgin Islands, and calls itself one of the world's largest, most regulated CFD brokers, regulated in seven jurisdictions with services in over 20 languages.
The bespoke front-end was built on Devexperts' DXmobile platform for iOS and Android, with a trading adapter for integration with other providers' middleware.
Coverage and Features
AvaTradeGO covers the full set of OTC asset classes: forex, CFDs on equities, futures, indices and cryptocurrencies. Beyond standard functions such as charting, watchlist, order entry, symbol search and trade history, it added market sentiments and trends, sharing of trades and price alerts. AvaTrade provides ultra-low spreads on 1,250+ instruments, including AvaOptions, MetaTrader 4/5 and its risk tool AvaProtect, through its web trader and AvaTradeGO app, serving 300,000+ traders in 150 countries.
Launch and Client Support
The platform was released in three months from the start on March 1, 2017. A controlled launch to selected client groups took effect on November 1, 2017, alongside region-specific versions for China and Japan. AvaTradeGO clients enjoy personal account managers and live customer service in 15 languages, with advanced encryption and fully segregated accounts.
AvaSocial: Copy-trading Solution
AvaSocial, announced on 17 November 2020, is a copy and social trading solution that lets traders connect, share and execute trades in one network. The mobile app is regulated by the FCA with Pelican Trading, and integrates with AvaTrade's execution platforms.
Clients can create a community of followers who monitor strategies, auto-copy or manually copy signals, and analyse performances. Users can message fellow traders, view expert strategies and take the inverse position based on their own convictions.
According to Raconteur, one in two traders always refer to expert or peer opinions before investing. AvaTrade CEO Dáire Ferguson said the launch alongside Pelican Trading reflects AvaTrade's commitment to support and educate customers. Pelican CEO Mike Read said Pelican is pleased to integrate its social trading technology into AvaTrade's mobile platform.
AvaSocial is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional) and Chinese (HK). AvaTrade was recently awarded No.1 Broker by The European, Best Affiliate Programme by International Investor and Best Forex Mobile Trading Platform App by Global Forex Awards.
