A normal slippage of around 1 pip is acceptable. I placed an order three days ago—I slipped by more than 3 pips on entry and more than 3 pips on exit. They say it’s because clients are trading during peak hours, but I’m not trading at resistance or breakout levels—am I supposed to just trade blindly in a ranging market? If I’m not making money, why am I even trading? Last year, when the server wasn’t overloaded, it worked fine, but the slippage lately has been absolutely terrible. During the major Nonfarm Payrolls report, slippage hit over 50 pips. I’m asking—is there any other platform that’s this terrible? Don’t tell me “everyone experiences this during Nonfarm Payrolls.” I’ve been trading forex for many years, and even when the market was more volatile than yesterday during major Nonfarm Payrolls reports, I’ve never seen slippage exceed 30 pips. Avoid these small, shady platforms—if you can’t afford to invest in a server, don’t ruin traders.
